Thank you for playing Triangle War. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. We don't sell your data — we never have, and we never will.
1. Information we collect
We collect the minimum amount of information needed to run the game. The exact fields depend on how you sign in:
- Profile information — your display name, email address, and a default cartoon avatar (or a profile picture you choose to upload).
- Authentication identifiers — a unique user ID assigned by Google Sign-In or Firebase Authentication so we can securely link your game progress to your account.
- Gameplay data — your game statistics (games played, win rate, triangles claimed, XP, power score), match history, and friends list, stored in our secure Firebase database.
- Device permissions — only the standard ones the Play Store displays (network access for matchmaking, vibration for haptic feedback). We do NOT request location, contacts, or microphone access.
2. How we use your information
We use the collected information exclusively to:
- Create and maintain your user profile within the game.
- Save your game progress and matchmaking statistics.
- Display your username and avatar on the leaderboard, friends list, and during multiplayer matches.
- Match you with opponents of similar skill level when you play online.
3. Advertising
Triangle War shows occasional interstitial ads via Google AdMob to keep the game free. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve relevant ads. If you're in the EU, UK, or another GDPR-covered region, we'll show you a consent dialog the first time you launch the app — you can revoke consent later from the in-app Settings.
4. Third-party services
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We use the following backend services:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, real-time database, file storage. Subject to Firebase's privacy policy.
- Google Sign-In — used for one-tap sign-in. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob — interstitial ad serving. Subject to Google's advertising policies.
- DiceBear — generates the default cartoon avatars for new users. We send only a hashed seed string; no personal data is shared.
5. Data security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored in Firebase, which is SOC 2 / ISO 27001 certified. We follow industry best practices to keep your account safe, but no system is bulletproof — please use a strong password and don't reuse it across services.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain your profile and gameplay data as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please refer to our Data Deletion Instructions. We process all deletion requests within 3–5 business days.
7. Children's privacy
Triangle War is rated for ages 4+ and is safe for general audiences. We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child under that age has signed up, please contact us and we'll delete the account immediately.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, surface a notification inside the app on next launch.
